CyberLogic makes it into MSPmentor 501

Press Release issue by Global Research Partners
Johannesburg, South Africa, 11 Mar 2013

CyberLogic, a Cape Town-based IT service and support company, today announced it was one of only 10 South African companies that made it into the MSPmentor 501 – 2013 edition, a listing of and the ultimate guide to the world’s best managed services providers. It was also one of only seven that made it into the MSPmentor Top 50 Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) listing.

“This recognition by MSPmentor again confirms and underpins our standing as a key MSP player in the local market,” commented Edge Bisset, CEO of CyberLogic. “We have been recognised every year since these ratings commenced four years ago, and unlike some of our competitors, we specifically focus on the SME sector and those companies that are very reliant on their information technology. I congratulate our whole team on their combined efforts that has resulted in CyberLogic receiving these accolades year after year.”

“MSPmentor congratulates CyberLogic on this honour,” added Amy Katz, president of Nine Lives Media, a division of Penton Media and the publisher of MSPmentor. “Qualifying for our MSPmentor 501 Global Edition puts CyberLogic in rare company.”

“What differentiates us from many companies on this list is that we have retained a strong focus on our core competencies, refusing to be drawn into peripheral areas, so that we can excel in our niche”, continued Bisset, “and we believe our continued success is a direct result of being totally focused in this way.

“In addition, the strong results from our financial year that closed only a few days ago, which indicate a significant growth from both a revenue and profit perspective, cement our position in these ratings,” concluded Bisset. “Going forward, the signs are also encouraging and should result in this new financial year being another positive one for us, as more and more SMEs embrace the managed services model.”

The MSPmentor 501 is an annual report from MSPmentor, and this year’s report has been expanded from 100 to 501 companies worldwide to reflect the following market realities:

* The MSP market is no longer a niche industry and managed services have now gone mainstream.
* Small, midsize and large MSPs worldwide were clamouring for more detailed information about market size, competitive positioning and overall industry performance.

Companies are ranked on a range of metrics, including annual recurring revenue (ARR), total devices managed, revenue per employee, and growth rates. All financial information for non-US MSPs was converted to US dollars to ensure a consistent ranking methodology worldwide.

South African company, Cyberlogic, grows monthly revenue by 116% by offering managed services using Kaseya

Lausanne, Switzerland, 1 Dec 2009

Cyberlogic, a South African-based company specialising in the maintenance and support of IT networks, has grown its monthly recurring revenue by 116% year-on-year by implementing the Kaseya IT Automation Framework to deliver enterprise-level managed services to small to medium-sized businesses.

Using the Kaseya framework to centralise and automate control of all client IT systems has increased Cyberlogic’s capacity to take on new and international clients without hiring additional staff, while guaranteeing highly competitive service level agreements for its rapidly expanding customer base.

The Kaseya automation framework sits at the heart of Cyberlogic’s managed services offering, and is used to remotely and securely manage, control and maintain more than 500 PCs and servers, through a single Web-based interface. Constant network monitoring, with the scheduling and automation of procedures like patch management, virus detection and software audits, ensures all client PCs and servers are supported simultaneously, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week.

The unique, encrypted remote control features of the Kaseya framework have almost eliminated the need for staff to travel to customer sites to fix problems or carry out routine systems maintenance, allowing Cyberlogic to expand its services internationally and manage endpoints in any location. The company is also supporting a number of clients’ VIPs and sales executives, who frequently work internationally.

Edge Bisset, CEO of Cyberlogic, says: “The growth and agility of our business was limited by the number of man hours we could provide, but adding more staff was costly and slow recruitment processes made it difficult for us to respond quickly to customer demand. Using Kaseya, we can offer comprehensive managed services to corporate networks in any location with confidence, guaranteeing the highest levels of reliability, security and performance.”

Key features of the Kaseya automation framework include:

* Automated patch management * Easy scripting for scheduling and automating tasks * Automated hardware inventory and software inventory and audits * System monitoring and event alerts * Secure, encrypted remote control * Management reporting * Powerful anti-virus and anti-spyware detection * Offsite backup and disaster recovery

According to Bisset, Kaseya’s established presence in South Africa was also a key consideration when selecting the technology: “Aside from the strong technical features of the Kaseya product, the fact that the company has a presence in South Africa and is growing this presence in Africa is a great advantage. Local representation was a major consideration when choosing a partner which system would effectively become the heart of our operation.”

Garth Hayward, Regional Manager Africa, Kaseya, adds: “Cyberlogic is an outstanding example of the success that IT service providers can enjoy by adopting a managed services approach that will rapidly grow their client base and profitability. Faced with a decreasing availability of qualified technical skills, the Kaseya framework is ideally suited to African-based IT service providers, which can remotely and automatically support an increasing number of companies. Through an automated approach, the traditional constraint to IT services growth and world-class service level delivery is a relic of the past and the growth of our African-based partners is set to accelerate rapidly over the next five years.
