Office2010Microsoft Office 2010 was officially launched in May this year and it is starting to gain traction in the market, with a growing number of users enjoying the features of this latest version of Office. For many users however, the benefits of this new version of Office are unclear.

Below are some of the highlights of Office 2010:

  1. Enhanced group productivity with co-authoring, which allows you to edit the same file at the same time as other users (requires SharePoint Foundation 2010 or a free Windows Live ID)
  2. Keep to schedules with Microsoft Office Web Apps by taking your Office 2010 to the Web; this allows you to save and access your files online (requires SharePoint Foundation 2010 or free Windows Live ID)
  3. Powerful communication with the new PowerPoint Broadcast Slide Show feature which allows you to present from the comfort of your office to a remote audience, who are able to view your presentation live using their web browser (requires SharePoint Foundation 2010 or a free Windows Live ID)
  4. Powerful data analysis with Excel 2010s new Sparkline feature, which allows you to create small charts within your worksheet cells
  5. Streamline Outlook tasks using the new Quick Steps feature, which allows you to perform multiple tasks such as reply and delete with just one click.
